Managing auto-responders

An auto-responder is an e-mail message that's automatically sent in response to any incoming e-mail. You can set up auto-responders for any e-mail address you've created.

Steps to set up an auto-responder

  1. Log in to AMS Control Panel as owner, or as a user with the "Manage auto-responders" permission turned on.
  2. Click the "E-mail" category tab, then click the "Manage auto-responders" link at left.
  3. Select the domain name from the drop-down list that has the e-mail address you want to create an auto-responder for. Select "Add a new auto-responder", and click "Next".
  4. Select the e-mail address you want to create an auto-responder for, and click "Next". You'll see the screen pictured in the figure below.
  5. Enter the date and time you want this e-mail address to begin sending its automatic message.
  6. Enter the date and time you want this e-mail address to stop sending its automatic message. If you want this to be a permanent auto-responder, select "Never end".
  7. Enter the subject of the automatic e-mail message, and the message text. Click "Finish" to save your auto-responder.

The message will be sent automatically in reply to every incoming e-mail. However, if multiple e-mails are received from the same sender in one day, only the first one will generate an auto-reply. Auto-responder
