Resetting a lost e-mail password

You can reset your e-mail account passwords using the AMS control panel.

Resetting the password for an e-mail account

To reset the password for an e-mail account, follow these steps.
  1. Log in as owner using your account number and its password.
  2. Click the "Manage e-mail accounts" link under the "E-mail" category tab.
  3. Select the domain name of the e-mail account whose password you wish to change. Select the "Change the password for an existing e-mail account" option and click "Next".
  4. Select the e-mail account whose password you wish to change. Enter a new password in the "New password" and "Confirm new password" fields, and click "Save".

Resetting the password for a legacy mailbox

To reset the password for a legacy numbered mailbox of the form "pop12345", follow these steps.
  1. Log in as owner using your account number and its password.
  2. Click the "Manage mailboxes" link under the "E-mail" category tab.
  3. Select the user name of the hosting package under which the mailbox was created. Select the "Change a mailbox password" option and click "Next".
  4. Select the mailbox whose password you wish to change. Enter a new password in the "New password" and "Confirm new password" fields, and click "Save".
Note: we strongly recommend that you convert your legacy mailboxes to e-mail accounts. E-mail accounts are named by their e-mail address, so they're easier to remember and easier to manage.
