Traffic logs
In addition to traffic statistics reports, you have access to the raw traffic log files from which the
reports are generated.
Web traffic log files
Traffic logs are text files generated by the web server. They record every browser request to your website. In general, all web server software, such as Apache, used on Unix, and IIS, used on Windows Server, use the same standardized log file format. All web traffic log analyzers, which generate statistics reports for your website, base their output on the information contained in the traffic log files. However, every traffic log analyzer parses and summarizes the data somewhat differently. If you have a preferred method for analysing the data that the traffic logs contain, or if you wish to use a traffic analysis package on your personal computer to create reports, you can download the traffic log files. The log files are compressed using the bzip2 format. You will need a file compression utility that can decompress this format, such as WinBZip2.Steps to download traffic logs
- Log in to AMS Control Panel as owner, or as a user with the "Download raw traffic logs" permission turned on.
