Tips on reducing spam

Although Korax has comprehensive spam prevention measures in place to protect customers from spam, there's no filtering system in existence that can completely eliminate it.

Measures you can take

There are several steps you can take if you find that you are still receiving a lot of spam.
  1. Disable the catch-all e-mail feature in Control Panel

Control Panel allows you to set up a catch-all e-mail forwarder that accepts all incoming e-mail sent to your domain name, even if the e-mail address doesn't exist. To reduce the amount of spam you get, it's recommended that you turn off the catch-all forwarder and create the specific e-mail addresses you need.
  2. Keep spam filtering enabled in Control Panel

Control panel allows you to turn spam filtering off, except for content filtering. Make sure that it's turned on by logging in to Control Panel, then clicking the "E-mail" category tab. Then, click the "Manage spam filtering" link, and follow the prompts.

If you have previously asked us to disable content filtering, contact us to request that content filtering be enabled again for your domain name.

  3. Set up spam filtering on your own computer

If you use e-mail software such as Outlook or Outlook Express, you can apply additional filters and spam rules to the mail you receive. Usually, right-clicking a message will show a context menu with spam filtering options. Consult your software's help for information on how to do this.
