Billing for additional services
New services can be added to your existing account any time. You don't have
to fill out the main order form to open a new account for every website you want to host.
Additional services can also be removed at any time.
New services and pro-rated charges
When you add a new regularly recurring service such as a hosting package, the item is added
to your billing account, and pro-rated.
Pro-rating is a system of billing for services that recur regularly
every billing period. If such an item is added in the middle of the billing period,
you are only charged from the date you add the item, to the end of the current period.
For example, consider a customer with a billing period of three months. The customer wishes to
purchase an item costing $10 per month, and adds it on the first day of the second month.
The charge would $20, because two months are left in the current billing
period. When the period renews, the customer would be charged $30 for all three months of
the new period.
A bill for a new service added in the middle of a period is called an "interim" bill.
A bill for regularly recurring services that's created at the beginning of a new billing
period is called a "regular" bill.
Removing services
In the same way, if you remove a service in the middle of a billing period, you receive
a pro-rated credit from the day the service is removed, to the end of the current billing
period. The credit will be applied toward your next order or renewal of services on the same account.
Credit balances are not cash-refundable.
