Moving your domain name
Moving your existing domain name refers to updating its information in order to
be hosted at Korax. Specifically, you need to change the DNS server information
to contain Korax' DNS servers. DNS servers are also called name servers,
or nameservers.
Korax DNS server addresses
If you know how to update your domain name's information, change the DNS servers
to the following. Be sure to remove all other non-Korax DNS server addresses
from your domain name. If you don't, this will create conflicting information,
and will cause your website to be inaccessible.
-
Name: auth01.ns.korax.net
Address: 216.201.96.33
-
Name: auth02.ns.korax.net
Address: 216.201.96.34
-
Name: auth03.ns.korax.net
Address: 216.201.96.35

If you originally registered your domain name at Korax before starting to host with us,
you don't need to update it. It already has the correct information.
Processing time
To ensure that there is no downtime for your website and no loss of e-mail, you should
upload the content of your site to your Korax account and set up your e-mail addresses
before changing the DNS servers.
Once the DNS servers have been updated, it usually takes between 24 and 48 hours for
the change to fully take effect on the Internet. During that period of time, some
website visitors and e-mail to your domain name will arrive at your previous web host,
and some will arrive at Korax. After 48 hours, all website traffic and e-mail should
arrive at your account at Korax.
Transferring domain name registrations
Transferring your domain name registration is different from moving your domain name.
It involves changing the registration service provider for your domain name.
In addition to web hosting, Korax also sells domain name registrations, and can renew
your existing domain names that were registred at other companies.
